Hi, I'm Johnny!  Some time ago I started Pinball Lab, which is where I design and create awesome full-size custom pinball machines that rival the play found on the best commercial arcade pinball machines.

What's quite unusual is that I create my pinball machines from virtually 100% LEGO®  brand bricks, lights, motors and LEGO® MINDSTORMS®  robotics parts.

So, besides being totally cool to see and play, each pinball machine is a pinball lab platform in itself, allowing you to tweak your machine's playfield and game action whenever you feel inventive or adventurous, by tinkering in the wonderful creative medium that is LEGO®.

Before finishing college, and then going on to become a successful high tech executive, I received my first practical education in electromechanics as a Brunswick bowling machine mechanic.  Their A-series pinsetters were ingeniously designed and provided a very robust environment for learning and experimentation.  Since the bowling alleys also had pinball machines, it was only natural I took an interest in them as well, and was soon servicing, modifying and rebuilding them as much as I was playing them!  My return to pinball has been a welcome renaissance for me, as well as a joyful, educational, pursuit of discovery for my young children, who work alongside me in the lab.
